Voltesso

Voltesso is the Vertuo line's lightest espresso, a 40ml shot at intensity 4 that brings biscuit sweetness, honey warmth, and fruity brightness to the small-cup format. While most Vertuo espressos lean dark and bold, Voltesso takes the opposite approach, offering a gentle, approachable shot that proves espresso does not have to be intense to be satisfying. The blend uses lightly roasted Brazilian and Ethiopian Arabicas.

The cup opens with a sweet biscuit note — like a vanilla wafer — followed by honey and a hint of dried fruit that add complexity without weight. The body is light at 2, the acidity moderate at 3, and the bitterness minimal at 1, creating a shot that feels almost dessert-like in its sweetness and ease. The crema is lighter in color than the dark Vertuo espressos, a visual cue to the gentleness beneath.

Voltesso is the entry-level Vertuo espresso for drinkers who are new to espresso or prefer their coffee light and sweet. It makes a lovely small latte or macchiato where the gentle coffee character peeks through the milk without asserting dominance. It is also excellent over ice, where the biscuit and honey notes create a naturally sweet iced espresso that needs nothing added.
